“It was a success “, said Mr Molokomme, a creative genius who shouted with joy at the 1st annual Tshwane Fashion Week.

Mr Molokomme, an award winning best costume designer in theatre hosted the 1st annual Tshwane Fashion Week together with Mr Buti Maifadi, an international performer nominated by Naledi Awards as best musical choreographer for National Art Festival Naledi in 2019, both being the event pioneers of the amazing Fashion show which took place on the 11th and 12th of November 2022, at The South African State Theatre, Produced by Mr Noel Mogaswa and Ms Kagiso.

There were approximately 10 of the best tshwane designers who dressed 60 beautiful models to showcase the work of their hands ,namely, “EYEWORLD”, “LECOB”, “PATRON BROWN THREAD”, “EMMIE DEE”, “BLACK BARBIE”, “DRACK”, “FEFE DESIGNS”, “HOUSE OF CAIRO “, “PARISON ICONS”, AND “VICTION”.

All the designers brought their A game from Lingerie sets, swimsuits, cow and Paris theme,Queen theme, African theme, everything you can think of was brought to life by the amazing designers.

“Tshwane Fashion Week is a platform for young upcoming designers and models who want to pursue their dreams of becoming professionals in the fashion industry.  The concept was derived under the extravaganza load shedding concept which inspires designers to sew , even if the country doesn't supply more electricity to push the productions to run faster”, said Mr Molokomme.

Credit to the lighting technicians who managed to follow the theme of the show and the amazing Mcs, Mr Sizwe Lawrence Maseko and Mr Thammy who kept the guests entertained throughout the show.
